“The Leads Coming Through HeadStart Have Been Excellent”

Terra State Community College has been using HeadStart Marketing Platform since 2022 to identify, track, and communicate with qualified prospects for a variety of their academic programs.

Dr. Cory Stine: The Leads Coming Through HeadStart Marketing Platform Have Been Excellent

Terra State Community College is a small rural community college in northern Ohio. We have approximately 2,200 students and oftentimes it’s challenging to get our message out. We compete against other larger institutions that might have more marketing budgets and resources to apply. And cutting through the noise to convince students that Terra State is a good value with excellent education is difficult.

We’ve been able to do this by using Head Start.

Head Start has helped Terra State  to get solid results in attracting students into our registered nursing program.  

We do get a number of students who click on our website and read information, but until we started working with Head Start, we were unable to track them to see their journey through our website, to see if they were interested, what pages they looked at, how long they looked at it and to see how serious they were about learning more about it.  

The leads coming through Head Start have been excellent.

They’ve been qualified leads more so than we’ve had from other sources such as inquiry cards. And they’ve been more likely to take the next step towards enrollment than leads we received from other sources.

Based on the success of our nursing campaign, we’re expanding this to computer systems and then advanced manufacturing.  

One of the things that most impresses me about working with Eric and Head Start is his background in higher education. Eric’s knowledge about higher education, the process, the student support, the marketing behind the scenes, has been a game changer for us because we don’t have to explain what higher education is all about.

Eric knows the language, he knows the challenges we face, and he’s  introduced us to other issues that we didn’t know we had and has offered solutions to help increase our enrollment and increase our lead.    

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would definitely give Head Start a 10,  and  I would recommend them to my colleagues.
